For those looking for an easy going ride that the whole family can enjoy, check out the video below. This is a very popular scenic trail which can even include a stop at Double Black Cafe or Pembroke Patisserie in Albert Town for a well deserved pit stop!

Pedal Access Bike Park - Bike Glendhu
This is a brand new pedal-powered bike park at Glendhu Bay just 10 minutes drive from Wanaka. With over 30 km of custom built trails for beginners to pros, stunning views over the Southern Alps & Lake Wanaka plus a cafe for your post-ride beverage, it's the perfect day out!

Enduro Riding - Sticky Forest
For those after a gravity driven adrenaline rush, Sticky Forest caters to Intermediate to Advanced level riders. It also offers some great sight seeing along the way.

Total Distance: 5 km ride to Sticky Forest but the network of trails means you have plenty of riding to choose from.
Recommended time required: Half day or Full Day
Difficulty level: Intermediate to (very) Advanced!
Cross Country Riding - Deans Bank and The Hikuwai Loop
For those who prefer cross country riding, Deans' Bank and The Hikuwai Loop provide ripping single track for intermediate level riders. These trails also have fantastic views of the Clutha River and beyond!

For those looking for a longer trip or a fitness challenge there are the following rides you can do from Wanaka:
Glendhu Bay Ride along the Millenium Track
30km approx
Very hilly but very beautiful.
Great if you’re looking for a workout
Hawea Lake ride via the Hawea River Track
40km approx return (20km of Hawea track + 20km of the Outlet track)
Gentle uphill for the 20km up to Hawea but a nice gentle downhill on the way back
Beautiful riverside scenery
Goes through the Hawea White Water Park
Luggate Ride via the Newcastle Track and the Clutha River Track
50km return approx (30km of Luggate Ride + 20km of the Outlet track)
Marked on the map as a beginner ride but we think it's more like a beginner - intermediate level ride.
Nice scenery, low traffic ride.
